    “Letter B” exhibited for London Design Festival 2024

    Dan Tobin Smith follows previous LDF installations “The First Law of Kipple” in 2014, “Void” in 2019 and last year’s “Letter C” with the latest in his ongoing “Alphabetical” series, Letter B.

    The 22nd letter of the alphabet to be completed so far, Letter B is a kinetic installation using wind to move seemingly random shaped metal flags that have the potential to create the letter form. Inspired by Bruno Munari’s useless machines, the installation makes reference to that work by having a hidden structure in its conception and execution.

    It is available to view in the window of Art Practice, 148-150 Curtain Road, EC2A 3AT from 14th – 22nd September 2024. Open 24 hours a day.

    Ventete billboard displayed in London Fields

    A billboard featuring Dan’s recent campaign for Ventete is on display beside Broadway Market, overlooking London Fields. It will be up until June 2nd.

    Whitmore Road renovation

    A year long Studio Building re-cladding and refurb. After being at Whitmore Road for 11 years, the building needed re-cladding which meant saying goodbye to our lovely sweet chestnut exterior which has changed to Corten panelling. We used the opportunity to refurbish the studio and offices.
